Fr\u00e9deric, once safely elected ‘forgot’ his promise to pay his supporters.<\/p>\n
It being the time of the\u00a0\u00ab Great Inter regnum \u00bb Wolfram de Fleckenstein took advantage of the absence of Imperial\u00a0authority and captured the Bishop and held him prisoner in the castle.<\/p>\n
The newly elected Emperor Rudolph decided to waste no time reestablishing his authority and\u00a0beseiged the castle.<\/p>\n
Seeing the hopelessness of his position Wolfram surrendered and gave up his\u00a0prisoner.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
